Therapy for Therapists and Helping Professionals
Serving Therapists, Social Workers, Educators, and Medical Practitioners through Online Therapy in California
Does this sound familiar?
“No matter what I do, I just don’t feel like I’m doing enough.”
“I don’t know if I can keep doing this.”
“Maybe I’m not meant for this profession.”
You’re starting to feel like you are the one in the room that needs therapy.
You’ve spent your entire life serving and attending to the needs of others. Confident that this is your life’s purpose to be in the helping profession, you pour your heart and soul into the work. You spend an enormous amount time taking care of everyone else or helping others with their problems. Add to that, you’re navigating the complexities of working for a community agency, education system, or medical facility.
Even when you’re at home, you tend to be working or thinking about work.
Others think you have it all together. But inside? When you’re really honest with yourself, you’re doubting your skills and ability to help your clients, patients, or students. Work doesn’t seem as enjoyable anymore. You’re feeling overwhelmed with stress and burnout, wondering if you can keep going.
Helping others shouldn't come at the cost of your own well-being.
You matter, too.
It can be easy to get caught up in the needs and challenges of your clients, patients, or students. But it is equally important to recognize your own worth and well-being as helping professionals in demanding fields. Taking care of yourself ensures that you can show up fully present and compassionate in your therapeutic work. By prioritizing self-care, setting boundaries, and seeking support when needed, you are able to maintain our own emotional and mental health.
Acknowledging that "You Matter Too" fosters a healthy and sustainable practice, which ultimately benefits both yourself and the individuals you serve.
You are human, too.
When you enter therapy with me, I offer a space for you to simply be a human being.
I’ll help you show up more authentically in every area of your life, not just in your role as a therapist, social worker, educator, or medical practitioner. Together, we’ll work on:
Being Curious
Explore your own thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with greater depth and understanding. Ask meaningful questions, challenge assumptions, and explore new possibilities.
Being Compassionate
Cultivate a sense of patience towards yourself. Acknowledge your limitations and imperfections, while fostering personal growth and resilience.
Being Empowered
Set healthy boundaries, prioritize self-care, and recognize when you need support. Not only enhance your ability to provide effective care, but also model the importance of self-compassion and care to those you serve.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

My desire to help with helping professionals—specifically other therapists, social workers, educators, and medical professionals—stems from my own personal and professional development.
With over 15 years working in community mental health, public education, and public health facilities, I know the physical, emotional, and mental toll this work can take in our personal and professional lives—how to impacts our marriage, parenting, relationships, or the way we serve our clients, patients, or students, and the way it makes us view the world.
I know how critical it is that we stay attuned to our own patterns and regularly engage in our own self work to be healthy enough to actually help others. This is why I make sure I am in therapy as well.
Having witnessed the unique challenges that helping professionals face, such as burnout, compassion fatigue, and boundary-setting struggles, I am motivated to create a safe and compassionate space where they can explore their experiences, find strength in vulnerability, and truly take care of their overall wellbeing. Ultimately, this helps them to continue making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Therapy serves as a vital tool for helping professionals in numerous ways. As individuals dedicated to supporting and guiding others, helping professionals often endure high levels of stress, compassion fatigue, and emotional exhaustion.
Therapy creates a safe and confidential space for these professionals to explore their own emotions, challenges, and triggers. It allows them to process the vicarious trauma they may encounter in their work and develop coping strategies to prevent burnout.
Additionally, therapy enhances their self-awareness, helping them identify and address any personal biases or countertransference that could potentially impact their ability to provide unbiased and empathetic care.
Ultimately, therapy ensures that helping professionals prioritize their own mental health, enabling them to deliver optimal support to their clients.
